We have been busy, busy at Amy's ABC Preschool since my last post....which was waaaaaaaay too long ago! We did a really fun science experiment today. We started with 1/2 C of Epsom salt and dissolved it in about 3/4 C of hot water (not boiling, but hot). It was fun to listen to the students predictions of what would happen to the salt as we started stirring. After the salt was dissolved, and we let the water cool for a bit, the students painted with the water on a black piece of construction paper.
After they painted, and it dried, we could see the crystals start to form. The students called it Magic Elsa Water. Lots of fun!
A few other fun projects we've done lately.... George Washington's for President's Day, Moon painting, my body has bones (qtip art), and "P" is for peacock. It was a lot of fun for the students to color the coffee filters, spray them with water, and then watch the colors run together. We are learning lots of fun things with Miss Amy at preschool!
